The first woman leader of a Filipino revolution. Born in Ilocos, she stood beside her husband, Diego Silang, in the fight against Spanish oppression. When Diego was assassinated, Gabriela refused to surrender — she took command of their forces and carried on the struggle for freedom.

Clad in courage and conviction, she became a lasting symbol of resilience, bravery, and the indomitable spirit of the Filipina. She rose to continue the fight for freedom — her courage lives on as a timeless emblem of the Filipina’s strength and spirit.
